Day 1: Moshi to Lemosho Gate (Start of Trek)

  • Londorosi Gate Elevation 2,100 Meters
  • Distance: 7 km (4 Hours)
  • Big Tree Camp Elevation 2,650 meters
  • Overnight: Big Tree Camp.

Day 2: Mti Mkubwa to Shira Camp 2

  • Trek Start: Begin your trek through the lush rainforest, gradually transitioning into the heath zone. This day offers stunning views as you head toward the Shira Plateau, a high-altitude moorland with wide-open views of the surrounding landscapes.
  • Distance: 17 km (8 Hours)
  • Elevation 3,850 meters
  • Overnight: Shira Camp 2, a picturesque campsite located at the edge of the Shira Plateau, with amazing views of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Day 3: Shira Camp 2 to Barranco Camp

  • Trek Start: Trek through the Lava Tower, then descend toward Barranco Camp.

Day 4: Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp
